プログラム：その1

　江の島全日本ではテーザーの大会で初めての試みとして「大会プログラム」というものを制作しました。　これまでの協会の公式レースと言えば、当日の朝ホチキスで留めた帆走指示書を配るくらいでした。（それはそれでオッケーなのですよ、勿論！）　県連の浜崎理事長と横浜で打ち合わせをしていた時に、「全日本なんだから、シンプルでも良いからプログラムみたいなものを作っては？」と提案を頂いたのがことの始まりでした。　簡単なイメージは頭の中にすぐ出来上がったのですが・・　ここからが大変でした。
　まず表紙：これまでのテーザーの写真の中から素敵なのを探そうにも・・　江の島をバックに江の島フリートのメンバーがプレーニングしてるあの写真！　の「あの」が無いんです。　そうなんですよね、協会のフリート紹介のページにすら写真が無い・・そんな江の島フリートですもの(^^)　で、もともと参加賞で作るつもりだったTシャツ用にTsdaくんが描きおこしていた「素晴らしいイラスト」を使うことにしました。　う〜〜ん、最高・・これで表紙は完了！
　あとは「会長、実行委員長（キャプテン）の挨拶文」　これも締め切りには充分セーフ(^^)　そして印刷直前まで修正の入った「帆走指示書」・・　これについてもいろいろありましたので、別のところでゆっくり書き記しますネ(^^)
　これまでの「20回の全日本開催年、開催地と優勝ペアの名前＆セールナンバー」についてはデラのホームページに載っていたのをそのまま使わせていただきました。　その他、「当日のスケジュールや各種の注意事項」を載せたり、「江の島でのバース配置図」を載せたり（ここにも裏話あり、詳細は御報を待て^^）と、Hsnoくんと私の間で、定時後の会社間チャット状態でのやりとりしつつ、着実に作業は進みました。
　当初あれやこれやと話しているうちに、「記念になる文章（寄稿）が欲しいよね・・」との意見から、テーザーデザイナーのフランク・ベスウェイトさんにメッセージをお願いすることにしました。　とは言っても面識の無い若手テーザーセーラー？の私たちですから、ここは一番Knko会長が依頼していただいて、締切り滑り込みセーフに送っていただいたのが次の文章です。

Recollections
The origin of the Tasar in Japan was that following some articles of mine in Kazi which Otani san had arranged, I received a letter from Yoshikawa, Keiji san, beautifully handwritten in English. He explained that he was President of the biggest fleet of two-hander dinghies in Japan, they were slow, he had approached the designer to ask if the performance could be improved, and had received the answer “Paint them yellow”. He had read my articles, liked my approach to sailing, and was it possible that I might do better?
Between one and two years later was a big day in my life. I had shipped Tasar 2103 from Sydney. Yoshikawa san had stored it at Enoshima.
We rigged quickly and with no problem. The wind was strong but abating. The test sailor from Kazi was dressed for arctic duty, with warm seagoing clothes and heavy seaboots to his knees, and I was nervous that he would be a yacht sailor with no coordination. But he sailed very well, and was surprised to find that the harder he drove the Tasar the faster it went. In his boat test he commented that he usually found a speed limit and was most surprised not to find one. I would like to congratulate him on handling the new type of boat so well. Considering that he had little English and I had almost no Japanese and the wind was too strong for leisurely sign language between us, his task was not easy.
After a short sail with me the test sailor and Otani, Takao san sailed together and soon were laughing and shouting together with the boat flying. That day could not have gone better.
A little later Yoshikawa persuaded seven Japanese Tasar crews to travel and sail at the World Championships at Yepoon. At the time this sort of travel by Japanese was unprecedented. We built extra charter boats, and positioned them with Pearson san who speaks Japanese, and one or two others who have some understanding, plus trailer and tools etc. But the huge impact in Yeppoon was Yoshikawa, Kiyo san leading “The Fools Dance” in full kimono. Her presentation brought everybody onto the dance floor. That broke the ice forever. Thank you, Kiyo san.
A little later, at a World Council meeting in Adelaide, Yoshikawa san said “We japanese do not always want to be guests. Some day we want to be the hosts, and I want it to be before I die.” The Hayama Worlds were programmed.
Your hospitality at Hayama was beyond description. It had taken Keiji a mere seven years.

　なんとも趣のある文章です。　プログラムには書いたのですが、Kaziから来たテストセーラーとはオリンピック監督の小松一憲さんです。　また小松さんとテストセールしたのは大谷たかをさんです。　いやいや、日本ヨット史の1ページを飾るようなエピソードですね。
　かくして出来上がったのが今回のプログラムです。　自画自賛ではありますが、とても素晴らしいものになりました。
